What a night looks like

Show up any time between 7 and 9. Find whoever’s got a board out and ask for a game — that’s genuinely the whole process. Most games are casual and untimed, though clocks come out when people feel like it.

You don’t need to be good. A lot of people turn up having only played online, or having not played in years. Nobody’s keeping score across the night, and there’s no ladder to climb.

If you own a board, bringing it along helps.
